The LACS has dedicated itself to preserving and sharing Luxembourg American cultural heritage, and as a non-profit organization with a limited budget, it relies on donations of artifacts and archival items. Encompassed in its collection are over 22,000 artifacts that help tell the history of Luxembourg and those with Luxembourg heritage in North America. The LACS collection is filled with materials that are tangible witnesses to our past and are essential in meeting the LACS’ mission. Through preservation efforts, we hope to continue this tradition for generations to come.
Please know that not all materials can be accepted into the collection. Condition, conservation needs, along with historic relevance are considered by our Collections Committee before accepting an item. Some items cannot be accepted due to over-representation in the collection, unless they demonstrate significant historic relevance. If you have an object you think would meet our mission to preserve Luxembourg American heritage, please contact the Museum Curator Caitlin Armstrong at carmstrong@lacs.lu or call 262.285.5041.
Note: In keeping with museum standards, a Deed of Gift form must be completed for all donated items. Please contact the Museum Curator before donating.
