LACC Temporarily Closes to the Public
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE UPDATED MARCH 30, 2020
Luxembourg American Cultural Center Temporarily Closes to Public
BELGIUM, WI. As a precautionary measure to protect its staff and guests from the risk of the coronavirus pandemic, the Luxembourg American Cultural Center will temporarily close to the public as of 4:00 pm Monday, March 16, 2020, until at least April 30th.
During this time, staff will still be checking email and phone messages, and asks for patience as they respond as quickly as possible. Updates to the eventual re-opening will be made on its website, www.lacs.lu, as well as its Facebook and Instagram accounts, once details are available.
The LACS’ September 2020 tour of Luxembourg is still booking, as it is impossible to predict at this time what will be happening with this situation in September. Its May 2020 sold out Luxembourg tour has been canceled.
This global pandemic has understandably brought forth a great deal of questions and concerns regarding international travel. First and most importantly, the LACS is monitoring the situation very closely. To stay current, staff is checking the website of the State Department, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the WHO multiple times a day for updates. These are the same sources used by the press.
Anyone interested in keeping up on updates regarding how this virus is affecting Luxembourg is encouraged to visit the RTL Today website: https://today.rtl.lu/news/luxembourg
The LACS staff thanks everyone for their patience and understanding during this time.
